Harwood Savin has recently been successful in securing planning permission for an 'air-space' scheme of six additional storeys on top of the existing two storey Wilko retail unit in the centre of Bognor Regis. The development will provide up to 104 new student residential units. Acting for a private student housing provider, and working with Cover Storey Architects, we provided advice at the pre-application stage and undertook a detailed public and stakeholder engagement exercise prior to the submission of the application. We also prepared and submitted the application, advised on S106 heads of terms and progressed the application to a successful conclusion at Planning Committee.
As with many of our schemes, Harwood Savin provided engagement advice, working with the local community and stakeholders to inform them of the proposals, listen to their feedback, and advise as to how this could be appropriately and effectively incorporated into the scheme.
